Our Mission

Reflect Christ through tangible care,
meeting real needs with dignity and compassion.

Our goals

01

More than a meal

Hunger is more than an empty stomach. It is the loss of comfort, stability, and choice. We provide warm, nourishing meals not as handouts, but as acts of respect. Every meal is prepared and shared with care, because dignity should never be conditional. Food is the starting point, not the end of the story.

02

Essentials, freely given

Clean socks. Hygiene basics. Small comforts that restore a sense of normalcy. We believe access to essentials shouldn’t come with strings attached or moments of shame. Our care bags are thoughtfully assembled to meet real, everyday needs, reminding people they are seen, valued, and worthy of care.

03

Love in action

At the heart of Refeed is love that looks like Jesus, present, compassionate, and unconditional. We serve without judgment, pressure, or expectation in return. Whether someone accepts prayer, conversation, or simply a meal, our mission remains the same: to love boldly, give generously, and reflect grace through action.

From Prayer to Action

Project Refeed was born from prayer and a conviction: faith must move beyond intention into action.

Seeing the reality of homelessness in Portland made one thing clear—generosity can’t wait. Resources unused cannot serve anyone, but when offered back to God, they can be multiplied for good.

Inspired by Jesus’ call to feed the hungry, clothe the needy, and welcome the stranger (Matthew 25:35–40), Refeed meets physical needs with dignity, reflecting Christ through tangible care.

Launched in December 2024 and rooted in community, Refeed trusts that faithful acts of love ripple far beyond what we can see.
